probably are, but apart from my real dress shoes, all i have are sneakers, so i figured these probably went best. irl they're pretty trashed, but they tend to look shiny in pictures for some reason

Hahaha. I actually posted another thread seeking fit advice about this exact cardigan. I got responses ranging from "it's too small" to "it's way too big" to "it's perfect." I went to my local J. Crew yesterday with plans to exchange it for a small (this is an XS), and the small was too wide. I asked several sales associates and they all agreed. So I decided to stick with this one. Plus, this is the first time I have worn it so I'm expecting a bit of stretching. Thanks for the feedback though.

There's no way that's too big. You can barely close it as it is.

I actually can. It's just that I only have one buttoned here, thus it does not stay closed all the way. If I button two or three, it closes without a problem, and it's not too tight. See pic here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=212231

@bare bodkin - it appears that this cardigan is cut on the shorter side. It hits me right at the tops of my pockets, as it does on this model:

1. Cardi looks too small
2. Don't like the cardi anyway
3. Cardi looks weird with red chambray workshirt.
4. Red Wing work boots look ultra clunky with the entire outfit.
5. Red chambray workshirt, redwings, timex watch, sized down cardi and slim jeans is a really weird combo with no cohesiveness.
