Pretty sure that sweater is cut loose and roomy, it's not a trim piece. You can see if he sized up enough to get the arms that roomy the waist band wouldn't stop where it does. I don't really dig the monochrome look but I can appreciate it.

This is wonderful. Best in the thread.

+1, not only is the picture awesome, the brand listing made me laugh out loud too. [IMG]

I love how fuuma's schneider pieces fit, and they look great too, but perhaps I'd like it better with some more contrast between the upper and lower half. Or maybe the colors don't translate that well in the pic?

I'm not trying to troll here. I realize that having to say something like that is probably a set up for failure, but I'm looking to honestly understand what's going on here. I've been become more comfortable with the alternative fits, artistic use of fabric layering, shape, drape, etc- but I still don't get what makes this outfit "fantastic" or "posh, embodied." The scarf is cool, and while the shoes aren't my thing, I understand their appeal. The moleskin pants aren't even particularly questionable from about the hem up till mid thy, at which point they don't sit well on the ass at all from the picture. Then there is the oversized sweater. Is it oversized as in "I'm a medium and went up to an XL," or are oversized sweaters like the boyfriend cut jeans that girls have? Not that I've got any hate for the sweater itself- the pattern and texture both look great; I just feel that it looks a little dumpy compared to what I'm' envisioning the properly sized product to look like. Even with my complaints it still looks interesting, if a little muted (which I get was intentional)- I just want to understand what I'm appreciating here. Summary: not bad, but I'm confused by the fit.
When I say posh I mean high fashion, 2. upper-class or genteel (from M-W). Then look up genteel and you get: a. Striving to convey a manner or appearance of refinement and respectability. b. Marked by affected and somewhat prudish refinement. I agree with you though, I personally dont think it's nearly as good as a lot of the fits lately. It's drab and dumpy like you said, and it looks as if you could put the fit together with pieces bought from a thrift shop. But it's high fashion because the labels say so. To be honest, and I'll probably get flak for this, I think people are praising it more because it's Fuuma, and not necessarily because it looks all that terrific. Fuuma know's what's up in terms of the fashinisto world and he's going against the status quo with the anti-fit, so I think people may appreciate that.

Oversize sweater as in I'm wearing my size. It is cut like a T with the armholes starting at HALF the torso, to give you an idea. Basically huge arms, relaxed and overlong body (it looks shorter on the pic due to the awkward way I am standing).

The pants are slim and low-waisted, as I said I am not standing exactly straight to fit in the picture and even twisting my body, still the point is that I am somewhat sagging the top part while the legs are "SF approved".

None of the items I am wearing are cut in a normal way, from the creased, marbled boots to the huge sweater.

You can usually see my shirt sleeves; it's mostly how i'm standing.

As for the chest, where would I look for wrinkles if it was pulling?

Whether it's terrific or not is obviously very subjective, but it's an all too common occurence on SF to claim that people like a fit to "make a stand", because it's "anti-fit", or whatever (exactly the same thing was sated during the max debacle earlier) -- like it's not possible to like it on its own merit. It's not like this is that much out there either. Also, the brand names matters a little bit because then we have some approximation on whether the pieces have interesting fabrics (as is often the case with schneider) or other "qualities", things that don't translate well in pics. It's not that it wouldn't look just as good without knowing the brands.

it would be pretty obvious if it was pulling, but all the wrinkles should be directing near the button.

Hmm, your pocket square is sloppy, the shoulders look like they might be a tad too narrow, and I dunno how the way you're standing can make your sleeves seem a full inch too long. But it's hard to tell very much from the quality of your picture/your open jacket. I also can't tell the colors of your suit/shoes. That's my opinion from also keeping tabs on MC. Bet you were better dressed (or at the very least gave more effort) than the majority of your bros, tho.
