huge congrats !!!!!!!!!!!
THANKS!! AND THANK YOU!!
rooster - love that first one.
At first glance I also thought it was something from Montblanc. Then I saw RM on the links and realized that is one of his bolts (like on his watches). To be honest, I don't care for his watches either. Still thanks for sharing, its always interesting to see what is on the market (both in the world of watches and cufflinks).
Spoiler: wait for it
I have two Panerai's that I never wear... *sigh*
Both gifts of course.
that actually makes me like it more.
speaking of cufflinks, i LOVE the breguet cufflinks with dial pieces and rotors.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
iirc, they are about 5k a pair. sigh.
what models? pics!
and who gifted you those and how can i befriend them?
Goddammit! Now we'll be seeing these on everybody and his uncle.
I used to not be a Pam fan - but I got an absolute huge 127 and I end up wearing it more than my Rolex Sub just because it is easy to read.
I have no idea what models. I am not a watch guy. One looks like yours with a second hand and you have to wind it. The other is automatic. One by my uncle and one by my father. (My father is a watch guy).
Hi Stitch, I agree, Breguet makes some stunning cufflinks! I've seen them in person and photos do not do them justice. I didn't know they also offered them with pieces of black dial. Until now I had only seen them with the silver/white. If I owned a Breguet I might be very tempted...I'm sure my wife is relieved I don't own the watch so I don't "need" the cufflinks.
Funny, I have the opposite experience finding my sub easier to read. But then my Luminor is only 44mm and doesn't have the contrasting hands of the 127.
DUDE. dont make me come over and hit you in the face. you own 2 great watches. now go find out exactly what they are, and post them here.
yeah, i saw them in person (both) at the AD in manhattan when i was there last month. they are gorgeous, and have a really nice weight and feel to them. i wanted them so baaaaaad. lol, "need." know exactly what you mean.
like i "needed" the double tourbillon and the minute repeater the kind lady showed me when i was there. she even, without my asking, gave me a loupe to view the dial and movement up close with. gaaaaaah.
I originally saw the Breguet cufflinks at the their boutique in Manhattan. I agree, they had a great weight to them. I prefer cufflinks that have some heft and don't feel flimsy. My experience at the boutique was much like you described...definitely a great place for anyone that is interested in fine watches to visit. I used to like the cufflinks from AP that match the RO, but I think they are very overpriced for steel, and it might look a bit too matchy (like a box set of tie and pocket square). Oh well, not buying those gives me a start on another watch that I might "Need" .
same here for my feelings towards the AP links. patek sure makes some pretty ones as well. "need" those.
How do you deal with such a big watch inside your shirt cuff? I can't even button some cuffs with my measly SMP in them...
