$6k for a basic Panny is nuts. They're getting into Hublot territory at this rate.

except they are nice looking watches. :teach:

Buy a LNIB then. You can probably still find an okay deal for a few weeks until secondary market starts adjusting ask prices

i would agree. i have to find a cheaper way. problem is, even if i can get a significant discount, im still looking at a $600 increase, that i was not expecting. fml.

that is crazy.

I mean to be fair, Patek, Rolex, and practically every other brands are increasing their prices as well.

In 2005, a Rolex Submariner date would run you at $4,500ish. Now the watch retails for $8,550. Man I was pretty happy to paid $6,700 for mines. I was also very lucky to score a very sweet deal on my GMT-c about 2 months ago.

Check references, buy with a no-questions-asked 3 or 5-day return agreement so you can inspect it. Some guys selling watches there are grey market dealers who have been doing that for a decade, so they have a lot of references

the golden rule is to buy the seller and you should be fine.

On the rolex forums, DAVIDSW and Bodybump (Oscar) are my guys. They can probably get you a brand new Panerai with your name on it for a slight discount. Or they will have a LNIB for sale for a great price.

Wow, another shocker. I think I paid $3K even (gray market) for my NIB sub date in 2001. LOL I may need to adjust my insurance coverages for these.
