Didn't mean to imply that picture is of a fake or that that watch doesnt exist in the JLC line...just something looks off with it. Can't put my finger on it, but if I saw it in the wild, thats what I would think.

Its kind of cloudy and gray here today. So here is something with a little color to brighten the day.

Beautiful watches.  However, with limited distribution and small production, if something happens to him and the company doesn't remain in business, parts could be very difficult to come by.  A friend's wife has an Eterna (Porsche Design owns them).  Although the brand is still in business, their distribution in the US has always been quite limited, which has resulted in her having difficulty getting parts for her 10 year old watch (damaged its bezel) .  Her watch wasn't that pricey so maybe not a big deal, but on a really pricey watch that would worry me.  Still stunning watches from Laurent Ferrier.

Well, for a watch in the Laurent Ferrier price point, even if the company ceases to exist, servicing and repair will still be possible and ecnomical, given the value. It's like the restoration of a vintage Breguet or Cartier today. Also, the LF watches are traditional in materials and constsruction, so making new parts from scratch for the commonly worn out bits is something a competent watchmaker can do.

Here are some pics of the LF tourbillon.

Thought I'd share something with you guys. I recently stumbled across this model and have been in love with it. Time to start saving.

Is a 39mm Explorer going to look too large on 7" wrists?
