^ If you like that RL, buy the new JLC Master Geo instead - more or less the same design but from a traditional manufacture.

Like the dial on the Nomos, but not the thick case. Maybe look at a used Journe Chronometre Souverain time only or the MIH Chrono if you like the industrial look.

I suspect they are the exact same movement. I do like the looks of the RL more, but JLC Master Control watches are on my list - I find them just slightly on the sporty side for me for a dress watch but I don't want something as stiff as a Patek Calatrava either.

can't find anyone to cut me the slightest deal on an RL watch either, which makes them quite a bit more expensive than the JLC street price which is ridiculous.

Sander, I don't have any personal experience with Nomos, but from what I can gather (from this thread and elsewhere) they're regarded as a solid product and a good value.

    Thick case? It's 8.4mm

Do you mean this one: [IMG] ? If so, I don't like the dial at all. A search for MIH Chrono brings up a lot of different watches, I don't know which one you mean.

    Thanks.

+1...plus I can't help but think their spartan and utilitarian aesthetic would appeal to Wittgenstein too! [IMG]

If you want something a bit busier, their worldtimer looks absolutely amazing as well

^ I have strong dislike for most skeletonized watches. This one is not an exception.

It's a really great looking watch. I also like the Max Bill for a similar but not identical vibe
