(remember, when these watches were were maybe $150-200 back in the 70s, which was a lot back then

Alain de Cadenet said he bought 2 at the Zurich Airport for $68 each in 1968:eek: my times have changed

The Tank Americaine is a beautiful watch.  There have been a few variations, I prefer the one without a date window.  It looks a little dressier without the date, but each version is very nice.

Yup :)
I just find out my cousin is getting married next year. My grandfather is going gift him the Tank :foo:

I don't have a pic on me. But this is really close.

Not sure how old your Grandfather's Cartier is, but the vintage ones are really beautiful!

thanks to Cylon and everyone else for info on this Hamilton Jazzmaster Chrono. Now any recs for where I can grab one lightly used for less than 1K (besides TZ ans WUS) ? Should I just keep my eyes peeled and scope around? If any one has a good lead let me know...PM if you'd like. Thanks!

I support this. I would help you out but I'm already taken

I agree. Choosing to break up with my wealthy ex-girlfriend is a decision that haunts me to this day.
