Want to check with you guys but isnt the GMT hand still set incorrectly? I believe it should be pointed right before the 6. To reflect the time in a second zone, you rotate the bezel so that the GMT hand points to the 24 hour time in the second zone. This is done so that you don't have to rotate the GMT hand when you move to a different time zone. Am I correct?

Warren, depeche, ghall - fantastic rollies, gents!

    Moo - speedy imo

Mack - interesting though about the crown threading getting overused on a manual wind watch. would like to here peoples experiences with that, maybe gdl can chime in.

i guess designs from the late 30's and early 40s are still considered masculine and too modern ;)

theyre a love em or hate em brand.

its not. the thread i got banned in was "is your watch a male or female?" some doucher described all of his watches, some being elegant females, others being rugged men with a military background. it was fucking ridiculous. So i ran to my bathroom, put my GMT around my penor, and snapped a pic. Posted in the thread with a caption that said "My watch better be female because ive been balls deep in her since ive had her!"

I still have a screenshot if you want

i disagree 100000% with this statement. any strap available for a 112, is available for a radiomir. Theres an endless supply of custom straps for either.

for your first panerai, id get a 112. as much as i love the radiomirs, I got much more wear out of my luminors than my 231 and 232.

not even a question. Speedy. the longines is nice, but to me it wouldnt even be a question. The speedy would hold value a hundred times better than the longines, and its a better watch. the new speedys all have the omega coaxial movement, and im 99% certain the longines is just an ETA.

ive had a couple radiomirs and dozens of watches with screw down crowns. its a $5k watch. not a timex. Ive never had an issue at all. Personally, i prefer screw down crowns. "feels" more secure to me if i ever (i wont) decide to go in the water.

that issue wouldnt even be close to a deciding factor for me between a 112 and a 210
