    lol
    not my car
but i had a rare opportunity to drive a maserati quattroporte so i had to snap a picture

    yes
even if i could afford it, i would want to kinda work up the ladder
so i can get a feel for what actually makes a good watch a good watch
just like with clothes and shoes... since i've had the cheap trendy crap... and now buying more well made, classic styling stuff i have a greater appreciation for everything

lucky you, how did it drive?

also, its important to take the time to understand not only what is a quality watch, but what is a quality watch that fits your style and interest. there are lots of great watches out there, and each person needs to let their taste develop and understand what they truly like.

IMHO since the original Rolex oyster case was designed for straps, they tend to look better with straps than bracelets.

    the car was a beast
belongs to one of my bosses
i think it's 1 generation older than the most current one
but man... that car has a vicious growl and pulls hard
(just don't tell my boss... :hide: )

    yea
i wouldn't get a watch like ... a panerai or bell & ross... or any breitling
i do not like the big boxy style or anything too busy

i already have a good idea of what i like in a watch
if i could get any watch right now (within reason) i'd get the IWC portuguese chronograph like this
    [IMG]
although i didn't realize the rose gold version had mixed color needles...
i thought the one i tried on at the IWC store had just rose gold for all the needles ... + i'd want the brown strap

My first automatic watch - Bell & Ross BR 03-51 GMT. I'm a big into rubber straps. Thinking of buying calf-skin / aligator straps for these. Quite the upgrade from my Tag Aquaracer entry-level luxury watch. Not a big watch person, but just wanted to treat myself to something nice.

that is a great watch, and a very pretty watch. personally i like the blued steel hands.

and :slayer: on driving that car the way it was meant to be driven.

Pretty watch, but I kind of agree with Romeo on this one. The hands look kind of wonky to me. Never really like the way that the dials cut off the 12 and the 6, either. If it was my money, I would pick up this bad boy:

Then again, I am not really one for chronos on dress watches.

Oh, that is excellent [IMG]. Now I'll have to further clarify that I've yet to see a stainless steel Rolex sport watch on leather that I've liked

Two brothers. Transitional Submariner 16808 and GMT 16758. Sapphire and nipple dial. Not as cool as the older plexi models, I'll admit, but interesting in their own right.

The chrono is very nice, but the 7-days is fantastic :satisfied:

A man of refined tastes I see :slayer:

I am not the biggest fan of IWC... But damn, that is one sexy lookin' watch. I have always been partial to the Yacht Club as well.

Yes, the A-35 movement and new models (DK-10; DK-11) have been announced since last year, but I don't know if any have actually shipped yet. I haven't seen any user reports, and I would think WUS would be flooded with them if someone actually had one.

Damasko use their own steel; that's their main business.
