This is definitely true and I think it's a feeling that can be had at almost any level. I know guys that wear their 70's Seikos everyday and are just as happy as those that religiously wear their gold Datejusts. I have a hard time wearing anything except my Rolex because it deployed with me and told me the time back home, which is something inextricably attached to that watch now. There is something about watches, and jewelry for that matter, that fosters a stronger bond than clothing. Watches more so than jewelry because of the reliance of the watch (at least mechanicals) on the user to stay alive and function.

Omega Seamaster Automatic Day Date, caliber 1020, model 366.0845 from 1977

My only watch. Regularly wind it up, but never wear it. I like watches but don't feel like wearing them, that's why...

+1. I love me some Sinn.

And as an aside Luk-cha, according to reports from Munichtime, it is looking like Damasko will soon be producing their own in-house movements

Haha, completely understand. The shoes are the G&G Grants. I am a shoe guy over a WIS, although that is quickly starting to change. Kind of waited to get into watches until all my other bases were covered.

And Damasko's aren't for everyone, but they are a hell of a tough tool watch. I prefer my watches to be nondescript.

Thanks a lot! And that is a beautiful picture as well. I underestimated the difficulty of taking a picture of a watch and shoes. It is difficult to get an angle where the shoes look shiny, but the watch does not catch any glare.
