1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Man, you must really be jaded of Panerai's design to say something like this. The Radiomir case and design is far more unique than the modified diver design of the AT re-edition. Or is it the yellow that you think adds character to the watch?

Can't say for sure, though I think its probably the yellow. Now that you mention it, "a dive watch is a dive watch is a dive watch" is certainly a valid point.

And yes, still dont get panerai [IMG]

If I had ~4k to get a watch? Hmm...

It was up in the cars thread a week ago, so I just found it funny.

Make yourself feel better, as people pad you on your back and give you credit, they don't know it's not true. People do it in real life as well, sad really.

He claimed that he was working for his dad's investment firm (located in Dubai), oddly enough he was never in Dubai.

No one who's working at an ib firm has time to jerk off on an online forum showing off to people he dunno 100 posts a day. I thought he was one of them wealthy kids who did nothing all day but Xanax and adderall

The internet has created access for anyone to indulge their own, personal cult of personality. In a way we're getting closer and closer to Andy Warhol's prescient statement. Facebook (which I personally abhor btw) is also an example of this...

It's a psychological drug of sorts to compensate for one's own perceived shortcomings or lack of confidence, self-esteem or.... well whatever you call it, it's f'd up IMO. sorry, thus I digress...

I grabbed that Seamaster the other day... must post this weekend! :slayer:

Does anyone have a Reverso in the Grande Taille size? I think I am going to order one and am curious about the fit. I tried on the Grande size, and it is a bit bigger than I want for work wear. My other watches are an IWC Port Chrono and a 42mm Seamaster. I want something smaller and "dressier" for work.

I have a GT (Sun Moon) and used to have an XGT (Reserve Grande Date). As much as I loved the design of the RGD, it just did not sit well on the wrist. The proportions are different from the other Reverso cases (the thickness is more than proportionally increased vs. length & width) and IMO just don't work well or naturally on the wrist. The GT is perfect for me and my fairly large wrist - not too small but a case that is not too thick and sits naturally. I would think that it would work well for you if you prefer 40-42mm case round watches.

someone (actually a manager an authorized retailer) told me that breitling for bentley allows you design your own watch (i guess similar to the vacheron bespoke option).

i couldnt find any such thing on line on the BfB site, or elsewhere.

anyone here heard such a thing, and if so do you have links to where it can be done?
