Still assessing what I think about the NATO cordovan. The leather is undoubtedly beautiful. While it is soft and supple it is not as thin as my other leather NATO, made from kangaroo, courtesy of Singular. I wonder whether this type of strap is better suited to a watch with a larger case size?
It was a bit of a pain to fit - I had to remove the spring bars and even then it wasn't especially easy.
Got the strap from a local dealer. It's made by Da Luca using cordovan from Horween.
I think in that post. BP = IWC Big Pilot.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Love that 15300 echau!!
Well, at least I didn't guess British Petroleum.
Opps, no, I meant IWC Big Pilot.

Looks good .
This side-by-side shot gives a truer picture of the size differential, which, as can be seen, is not great:
Ya know, never really liked the look of APs, but my goodness, on the wrist that is one lovely looking watch. Much more elegant than I envisioned it being.
Grand Seiko today:
Awesome Seiko. I've been meaning to add a GS to my collection for some time now.
These are my latest finds for restoration:
