Don't want to start thread for a question I have regarding mechanics of a watch and don't know where to post this for a quick answer regarding watch,so I figure I put it up to watch lovers here.:

What is the term for the feature of a watch whose date is set without having to "spin" or completely turn the time forward 24 hours to click the date one day forward; that is, I have a watch where I can pull on the crown about half way (actually feels less than half, but you get me) and turn the date without turning the time. I had another watch that lacked this feature. So whats the term for this feature and if you know, for the lack of it.

Sorry for convoluted phrasing. I know I have heard the term something or read it. Kind of hard using Google in this instance.

    Quickset date.

Some really good-looking watches in here.

I think that this [IMG] looks really nice, thinking of buying it. Could anybody tell me if it's a fake or not?

More pictures here http://imageshack.us/g/4/8828365origpicc7c525jpg.jpg/ if needed or if you just want some more watch pron.

Seiko Blue Spark (head only). Any interest?

I'm planning on selling my 1982 Datejust (engine turn bezel, not white gold). Any interest? Feel free to pme for more info and pics. I'm trying to raise some funds for my next watch purchase.

I received the Seiko Blue Spark from Warren G. today.

Really an excellent transaction: the watch is exactly as described; great communication; very fast shipping; excellent packaging; really good seller. He even included a NATO strap.

    Thanks WG!

WarrenG's Datejust reminded me of my own. Got the itch again, and really would like to get an IWC Portuguese 7 day. Wife won't let me unless I get rid of something I'm not wearing to free up some funds. How much do you think a 2002 Rolex Datejust (white face, white gold fluted bezel, jubilee band) would go for? I'm the original owner, so it will come with box, spare links, and all documents. The condition is like new since I hardly wear it. thanks!
