1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

TZ or watchprosite - prepare some references of people (hopefully regulars on TZ, WN or thePurists) who have dealt with you. You can always offer an in-person transaction in NYC for those who are concerned. Last solution is to have someone (a friend) who is long-time member of these sites sell it on your behalf.

The Doppelchronograph is a classic! Its so much cleaner in terms of the dial. IMHO its far better looking than its replacements have been. In addition, the original style bracelet is far nicer looking than the later bracelets. It's a beauty, enjoy it!

Nice Bell & Ross, I like the case shape. This model actually reminds me of some watches from Tutima.

It's a Sinn 142 ST, a pretty old and classic Sinn model - "first automatic chronograph in space". B&R used to simply brand existing Sinn models when they started. Progressively they started to get some exclusive models made, and eventually only have their own designs now.

    Sadly,

This watch went back - twice. First one I received has dust on the dial, and the replacement had visible scratches/imperfections on the movement.

So what about the VC Quai de L'ile? I like the sapphire backing but wish it was available with Roman numerals... Also, they should have figured out how to have the non-active numbers for dates be a bit more faded out... But overall an intriguing design.
