Love the up close and personal pics. How do you like your brown strap? Im thinking of getting a dark chocolate brown strap, or a light tan one...whats this color called? Anyone?

Well, being a SFer at heart, I LOVE the brown strap. Personally, I don't know if I could handle a black strap. I still don't think I own anything that is black. But this was the stock, dark brown strap. It is a really nice, warm color. I would really like a honey brown or a navy strap though.

You know, normally I'm down with complications and master chrono's, but there's just too much going on with that face.

    Here's a stupid random Q:

Stopped by a jeweler today to look at some vintage subs. The salesman pronounced the name of the watch in the same way you would say Seattle Mariners. I always say it in the Hunt for Red October sense.

    WIS verdict?

Tend to agree...but what really gets me is that year window.

I could live with the date window. I have wanted a Hamilton Chrono as a "dress beater" for a while. Some of their chronographs are very IWC'ish, if that makes any sense.

    Seattle Mariners pronunciation is correct.

great pics! i wish i could take pics like that. really nice the way you captured the skeleton caseback, and texture of the dial.

    nightmares? sure.

that stock pic is terrible, i am sure IRL it looks fantastic, even with such a busy face. although i dont mind a busy watch face anyways.

And is the same as the pronunciation in the Hunt for Red October sense.

Too much going on for me...the two complications at the top that look like eyes put it over the top for me.

I agree, I wish they put the power reserve somewhere else. Getting rid of the two top subs would bring the aesthetic more in-line w/one of my favorite Patek perpetuals. Probably easier said than done, however.

Nah I had to sell it, as much I wanted to keep it. It was just a tad too thick for me, it wasn't comfortable. I'm pretty fickle on how I wear my watch. I tend to wear it tight or loose at any given time. The glidelock was a godsend for me.

Looking at either a Rolex Submariner (two-tone or black/silver) Versus a GMT Master (Pepsi colorway - red/blue)

What do you guys suggest ? They both have similar designs
