I am going to make a birthday purchase for myself and I am trying to decide between the matte and the polished Stowa Marine Roman. Thoughts?

Brushed. Polished finishes almost always look cheap.

Depends on the kind of watch. Casual brushed, dress polished. Coincidentally my Panerai (PAM 86) is brushed too; but my Stowa (same M. O. with roman numbers) is polished.

^^Very nice. Super thin and dressy, Kappelan. I like it.

Today I'm wearing my favorite "Big Blue" watch....celebrating Kentucky's narrow escape in the NCAA tournament vs. Princeton. That was a close one.

I like it, any chinese watches with traditional chinese? Maybe made in Taiwan?
That is traditional chinese. It's made in Tian Jin in China.
What's the case size on that one?
    It's 38mm. But it's gonna look smaller.

I think he was referring to the characters, which are in simplified, NOT traditional chinese

Not sure what the latest price list is. Email Dirk, he's great to communicate with. You order straight from him and can personalize the watch with movement engraving and other options.
