I've never understood those two models. If you're going to go to the trouble of breaking your bank to get a watch that has two sides, why not get one that actually has something on both sides?

I have not found any I actually liked on both side.
Wearing a watch with the crown on the left doesn't work for me, so having 2 was my solution,
Sorry for being redundant.
View on mechanism appealed me a lot.
And engravable version is the most classic version, I think there is nothing to understand neither to explain.

The model was originally created for polo players who wanted their watches on while playing but didn't want them to be damaged during the game. This way, they exposed the back of the watch (made out of metal) instead of the more fragile glass (thus preserving it).

Don't apologize. You've got two beautiful watches there. Wear them in good health. I was just expressing a curiosity of mine.

My wife has a Reverso Duetto that is actually very practical. One side is a "dress" watch, with tiny round mother-of-pearl face with dainty little hands and no numerals, and diamonds running around it. The other side is a nice practical readable watch, similar to the ones Oyaji posted upthread.

It was a lot less than that when i bought it nine years ago. It's also a very rugged watch and one I don't mind knocking around - it has seen a lot and I tend to reach for that one the most on weekends.

I love the classic version, but am very temped by this fellow:

It is about the same size as your classic one -- I don't care for the larger reversos so much.
