1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Which Daytona do you have. I am debating between a pre owned black face with the zenith movement, or to really go classic and a get a the older 1970's style. Obviously there is a significant price difference between the two.

:nodding: The Zenith El Primero is a robust movement.

I have a white faced with in-house movement. A friend has a vintage Daytona, and it's really spectacular. I'd like to own one, but I don't lust after it enough to justify the cost. Maybe one day when I'm not such a peasant :)

I think I've finally decided on the Portuguese Perpetual. Now I just need to make up my mind between rose gold with white dial, or white gold with the ardoise.

That longines is quite nice, is it one of the new models? The strap is also quite nice.

I believe its retail on 42mm version is $7,200 but I see people selling it for close to 9K, one guy is actually selling one for 11K right now.. I believe my AD will receive their stock soon maybe I should buy one and flip it.

I think I'm leading in that direction.

I love the vintage Daytona models. I just cant really justify spending that kind of money on a watch at my age. If money wasn't an issue at all I would certainly get the 70 model but since I am still young and need to be somewhat practical, I think the Daytona with the Zenith movement makes more sense now.
