Thanks, its on the buckle - It's my 'suit' watch as it were but I really wish I had found this place sooner, oh well its never too late!
A wonderful Calatrava. I love that hobnail bezel. Did you get it with the deployant or the tang buckle?

Don't think I've ever seen one for sale on either TimeZone or WatchUSeek. Barely any Heuer vintage at all. Shame because I'd be all over it. I'd like one of those and a Monaco or an original Silverstone.

Yeah, OTD is probably your best bet. Post a WTB-ad, that's what I did.

Thinking of buying a Union Glashutte Belisar GMT (Anthracite dial). Any thoughts on this choice?

Had a stressful night at work, but once I had sorted things out I stopped to snap a picture of my watch. The face was smudged all over with synthetic oil-based mud, but I do this to it all the time and it cleans up just fine. Except when I had a wound spring explode on me one day, it put a small nick in the case and a small cut on my cheek.

i have talked myself out of getting a 5001 a few times because i had the feeling that its just not robust enough for day to day use. somehow the large face and lack of bezel make it seem vulnerable. seems that i was wrong though

My lawyer just picked up one of these used: [IMG] Gorgeous.
Not so crazy about this one, it looks too busy. Do people really need a dial to remind them what month it is?

    ^^^No, but it's a great watch. I was admiring a pre-owned one earlier today.

Great thread, with some amazing watches.. couldn't resist as my first post- here's one of my more dressier ones which is reserved for special occasions. Anyway, looking forward to educating myself and contributing here having just been browsing for a while [IMG]
Quoted for its awesomeness. Gorgeous watch.

A good choice. It is a less "bling" version of Chopard's Mille Miglia GMT and without that silly tyre thread rubber strap.

Curious why this and not say the Rolex GMTIIc?

Its the pic. The watch is much more classy and subdued in person.

Meh. What drew you to this one? I'd blow 2k on something else personally.

Occasionally, I wouldn't mind having the year on the dial....
