I was the one who had the Port Chrono for sale. Was trying to fund a Lange & Sohne but it was sold out from under. So with the money "saved", I bought the panda 3714.

Hopefully my poor pic taking ability doesn't detract others.

Yeah, the panda seems to be one of those watches that is either hated or loved. I'm guessing more were in your camp since it was discontinued a couple of years ago. Not sure what it is, but it just does it for me!

The watch looks good, although I prefer a blue dial rather than blue hands.

Great purchase "theyare". Pictures don't do the Panda justice at all. I've always wanted the "Reverse Panda" but it's so hard to come by. [IMG] *Credit to original photographer.

    That is nice.

Yeah, I have a hell of time capturing watches for good pics, particuarly when there's a black watch and white watch right next to each other. Probably has a lot to do with crappy p&s cam.

you mean, 'how THICK are they?'... [IMG]

about 12.25mm from memory. I've tried it on a couple times and it's a thick watch

Oh wow. I must say that I'm surprised. The pics look quite deceptive, then.

Just picked this beauty up...can't wait to restore it! Anyone ever heard of a Breguet quartz movement?

That's a lovely Girard-Perregaux. I've been looking for something similar myself - do you mind me asking if you happen to know the model reference for yours?

Just get the JL reverso and be done with it, you know its what you really want.

But if your brave try and find a vintage Gruen curvex. Much cheaper but very slick.
