    That tourbillon is one of the most expensive watch complications and is actually not the movement. It is was created to counteract the force of gravity on the movement's operation.

    Yes, but in pocket watches, on wrist watches it's utterly worthless.

    I stopped at Tourneau yesterday and wow. While I was there a guy bought a Panerai and a JLC that I helped him pick out.

    Of course not, but I was only mentioning in passing that as a technical complication, it's utterly worthless. It's merely an expensive trinket that makes a great revenue stream for high-end watch companies. As far as complications go IMHO, a minute repeater or rattrapante are far more fascinating and useable.

    The silver one is much nicer in design. It's still too flashy for me though.
