I love those straps! What is that material? Is that a type of nylon or is it embossed leather? Any way, I love the clean edges - very sharp!

    hard to explain.

Agree 100%..I would put the new black LV leather strap on it,would look amazing[IMG]
Removed the stainless bracelet and put on the aftermarket black carbon strap which is more casual/sporty IMHO. I guess I can still wear the original and well-worn black leather strap too. [IMG] [IMG]

^^^ Nothing wrong with non-Swiss watches. My points were aimed at rebalancing reality against fantasy specifically with respect to Grand Seiko.

Of course, if I wanted a non-Swiss watch with a non-Swiss movement, I'd buy American first:

Those look really nice but, I'm too poor.

They are supposedly very well made and do last. I'm not into vintage watches but there are many that are still ticking after 50 years.

Mine is new so uhhh, I'll get back to you in several years.

haha, ok, i've seen the posts on watchuseek and other fora that do point towards chinese movements being fine. but occasionally you see posts about it failing after a few months.....that's all i was getting at.

Ya, I've read them too. QA issue. However Sea-Gull is different as they are the movement maker, watch manufacturer and its own brand. Can't go wrong with them, Beijing or Shanghai... the others, thats a different story.

Really like your watch. The current range of Breiltings is hideous IMO
