I was looking at the CW C5 Aviator, but at that price point, I decided to go for a Seiko Blue Spark instead. But I'll probably end up buying a CW in the future anyway.

Well, I was just looking for an everyday kind of watch. Some people may think the Blue Spark is a little dressier, but be that as it may, I don't think it's too dressy not to wear it as a regular kind of watch. Good thing is that they're both relatively cheap

Is there anything else I should consider in this price range ($1000)?

I have this exact watch (Seamaster Professional Chronometer), and it is my favorite watch. Goes with everything. Travels everywhere.

I personally really like the Sinn 556 on the bracelet.

Also, the Sinn 656 is great as well. But on the bracelet, it's very much over $1000, at least from watchbuys (the AD in the US for Sinn).

Does anyone know of a watch that emulates this vintage submarine clock? The Stowa Marine Original Matte is close (and the right size and price), but I prefer a black case, and more "ornate" font.
