1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Funny - I just stepped out for dinner, came back in, and feel like I missed a bar brawl. You're right though - we've done GO v Lange before and everyone has their own opinion, which they are entitled to of course. Incidentally, do you think anyone high up in the manufactures ever reads these threads?

Nah, they're too busy thinking about how much they'll be able to raise the price based on their next incremental improvement that people won't like. ;)

    I am unsure.

It is incredible in person. Only seven pairs will be made - and at this point all have been spoken for. Not bad for a boot that costs USD2,500 retail.

They made a good call using utah for the shaft, it'll avoid those unsightly creases you get with shell which tend to be quite severe on boot shafts.

It's my understanding the reason EG didn't make a Galway in cordovan was because they didn't think the cordovan was sturdy enough for the shaft.

Heck not bad, that's what a Shell St Crispin PC Boot cost.

Anyway, thanks for posting that 16610. LOL

They wouldn't do the Galway in shell cause they couldn't do it with the bellows tongue. Maybe that boot isn't a bellows tongue, they figured it out or they are only being inconvenienced for those seven pairs.

I thought for sure it was the shaft, but maybe I was wrong.

Hmmm. Trying to decide on a watch.

    A)

    or B)

I prefer the strap on A, but that I can order it for B. I prefer the limited editionness if you will of A. I prefer the sword hands of B and the "REVERSO" font and font size of B. B saves me about $2500, but resale isn't as lucrative, though I am thinking I wouldn't resale for a few decades.

I like the fauxtina look and want a Reverso, but it's a tough choice.

This in no way helps but they're both gorgeous. For me, brown strap is a must though.

Personally I'd go for B – its black strap is much more in keeping with the Reverso's dressy nature. Not to say that Reversos can't be dressed down, but A's strap comes across as slightly too rustic for the watch by virtue of its stitching. I prefer B's hands and font too.

    B. You can always throw a brown strap on it. I prefer the sword hands.
