I saw the pics of Kate and I ve to say, I'm not impressed.

Massive bewbs but she's a "gordi-buena" (a girl that is a bit fat but still desirable, something like that) as we mexicans use to say. The difference is that some "gordi-buenas" have bigger butts than Kate.

If the leak came from Justin Verlander's phone I have mixed feelings about whether I want to thank him profusely or if I want to pretend to reach out to shake his hand but then suddenly level him with an axe kick to the shoulder.

Given that there were pics of other women on his phone as well, I suspect he's in for a good dumping.

Also I must say after seeing the pics that he's a bit sick. There's like porno level stuff in there, and why on earth would a same man do that stuff with someone he knows he's going to see again? Plus, er, um, selfies that he's got no grounds to be proud of.

Hahah. Just don't know what to make of it. Were they all from Verlander's phone? Was it a mishmash of images uploaded on imgur? Who knows. I mean, not that I actually saw any of these pics... Hahahah

Spoilers dude! In the mean time, here is something else with a charming duality: I saw a picture of this online a while back, and was fortunate enough to find the RG version in the Piaget Boutique in Dubai. It's on the large side, but still elegant I think, and so whimsical and different: how to do a GMT? Add another watch. Yep, that'll do it. Does make it quite expensive though. One for the wish list maybe - even as a limited number, it seems these turn up pretty soon for 30-40% off either new or nearly new. It seems pretty sensible to never buy a new Piaget from the AD - GP, RD...how many others on that list? Nuke, how about this instead of the Saxonia GMT? :)
Ooh very nice. I was fortunate to visit the Piaget factory a while back and see how these Double Jeus were made. The case work is pretty interesting.

A beautiful, elegant watch that caught my attention recently that can be picked up reasonably is the Junghans Meister.Simple, pure, form and function, that looks even better in the flesh than pictured.

I like that a lot, too. Pity about the plexiglass "crystal." Any idea of how it wears in real life?

No sorry ,I just saw it while window shopping.
I agree about the plexiglass, and that is the only thing that deters me personally.i have read elsewhere similar criticism regarding the second hand positioning, but that doesn't bother me.in fact I think it enhances the appearance as the concave really plays with the light.

To back up a few pages, if no one other than Rolex USA are allowed to import Rolexes, how do grey market dealers (Jomashop, etc) get theirs?

Without the consent and active participation of ADs, and even manufacturers direct, there would be no grey market. Rolex is an interesting one because the discounts are so small, relatively. But that really makes the point in itself - it's just a smart bit of stock management, without undermining the brand by putting "special offer" or "clearance" stickers on their slower-moving items in the AD's showroom.

I've just been talking about Patek Calatravas with my dad, who is considering getting one. He particularly likes the 5296 with sector dial:

700

...Rather than opting for the plainer dialled version, he likes the "sportiness" of the sector dial (if a Calatrava can ever be thought of as "sporty"), which makes it that little bit more flexible when it comes to more casual dress.

I've also been intrigued by the 5227 (photos from Hodinkee) with a concealed officer's or hunter's caseback:

700

The 5227 seems an exercise in subtlety and restraint; the case back is beautiful and unique. This interview with Thierry Stern discusses the watch (from 1.4 minutes onwards) and the challenges of getting the case back right.

What say you Patek aficionados?

TWAT friends. I have been thinking lately... is it time that we switch our TWAT princess? In lieu of the newest photographs of her with this Verlander fellow, should we feel betrayed? He does not even appear to wear a watch. I think it may be time...

Now, for an actual TWAT related discussion, out of the two, I vastly prefer the 5227. I have never really been a huge fan of the first model. However, I think that, at its current price, the 5227 is far, far, far too expensive. Frilly has discussed this before, but you can get a lot more bang for your buck, even from Patek, by paying just a little bit more.

The 5227 is gorgeous, no doubt. But man, $37,000? Crikey.

This watch really isn't much compared to the other stuff posted here, but got it as a gift from my grandfather some year ago and just recently started using it more regularly, so I figured I'd take a pic
