1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Any good places for pre-owned Rolex, Panerai, etc. in NYC?

Talk to the guys at the Tourneau on Madison. A lot of them are actual watch guys. They run deals from time to time on the pre-owned that gets them to decent prices. Regular prices are hit or miss.

I've been gone for a little while, but wanted to share the latest addition to my small collection.

+1. And they can also source the preowned inventory from other Tourneau stores.

Phew, I thought we were gonna go a whole page without a Royal Oak pic. Close one. ;)

But seriously, nice watch box @academe !

Congratulations and wear that beauty often @academe !

Had lunch with close friends earlier today and got the chance to try this one on. I've been jonesing for the all YG Sub with blue cerachrom bezel insert + blue sunburst dial, but this one just catapulted itself close to, or right to the top of the list.

YG Daydate is an awesome watch! I still haven't decided if I like the Datejust or the Daydate more…!

Not a fan of YG watches myself, though that does look pretty good despite that, I must say.

Overall, I like it. Although, I'd prefer it on an Oyster bracelet both for its looks and they tend to survive wear & tear better, generally developing less "Stretch" than the "President" bracelets. Wishing you luck with whatever you decide...but my first vote goes to a YG Sub, next Day-Date on an Oyster bracelet.

The white roman dial is by far the best match for that watch, IMO.

That is a selection of enviable quality and balance. Great work!

Man, it's lucky that you have to buy watches in matching or equivalent pairs, isn't it? I mean, it's only fair to the girls. YG Sub. YG DD. The universe remains on its axis. :)

Is it my imagination, the photo angle, or just normal? The cross-cut on these nuts seem to be at an angle. I've noticed it in pics before so no aspersions cast on @alpyigit 's beautiful ROO. But is this an illusion? On the ROs, the line always seems to run perpendicular to the sides of the hexagon, which in turn "point" to the centre of the dial. On several ROO pics I've seen, it looks like only the latter is true. Is it an optical illusion from bigger nuts (tee-hee) with deeper grooves?
