Looks good - pretty versatile, I'd say.

    I think that's pushing it!

But for sure there is something understated about going the Tudor route, and it definitely appeals.

Thanks for sharing my excitement @Dachshund ! Sorry to disappoint but I didn't get the Lange in the end. You can blame it on @Dino944 for it.[IMG] His post really struck a chord, its like a Eureka moment, boom. Its was his is reply to @ShawnBC about making decision on making the next watch purchase with so many watch in mind. I wanted that Saxonia because it was a Lange and I wanted a Lange in my collection. The RG was just an excuse to purchase it. Anyway, ALS for me? Richard Lange or the Lange 1. RG dresswatch with small sec? VC patrimony trad. Thanks Dino, more $$$ to fund other TWAT worthy watches. Got 2 of em today.

    [IMG] Take a guess?

Tried the VC Historiques American 1921 as well, apparently only for people who wears their watch on the left [IMG]
Was surprise by the weight of the GMT, is it because of the ceramic bezel that it feels light?
The PP 5396G looks perfect on my wrist but no moonphase for me for now.

    [IMG]So long my friend :(

Hmmm....Love the Tudor you got,...but you sound more like you are rationalizing your purchase. People can own a cool Tudor and a cool Rolex. Your statements remind me of identical twin brothers I knew who when they got angry at each other would call the other one ugly.

Glad my prior advice to another poster came in handy for you. I hope you will enjoy your new additions and wear them in good health! [IMG] You owe us some wrist shots! [IMG]

As for the weight of the GMT, I think it feels rather similar to a current steel Daytona. Maybe the only Rolex models that would feel heavier are the Deep Sea and the current Explorer II, which are both over 40mm.

No i'm not rationalizing. I have tried many Rolex the past years and I can't feel it with the 16610.

Once again, that's just my opinion.

You can certainly say your Tudor has more soul, but I suppose someone else could counter that statement and say a Rolex Submariner has more heart and guts as it is powered by a Rolex movement, while the Tudor uses an ETA movement.

I think you bought a great watch. I just don't see how you can say a 16610 has no soul, when a Tudor Sub is derived from it.

You bought a cool watch enjoy it. No need to bash your watch's sibling.

Logically speaking, I'd say that you were missing that simple dress watch, and something versatile on a bracelet. So in your shoes, I'd maybe have gone for a Zenith dress watch o some sort and an Aqua Terra. But I'm looking forward to the reveal!

Just a long shot: yellow gold Lange 1, standard size. Just saw one in the window of a local dealer with whom I'm able to negotiate having hooked him up with a couple of sales recently. Shout if you want me to explore possibilities.

Different strokes for different folks, but this is the first time I think I've heard this used as a reason especially for a mechanical watch with an in house movement..

    No soul?[IMG]

::clapping hands excitedly:: Ooh a new Omega on the scene! And a Zenith. I'm sure they were both fine choices. Unboxing shots please!

It is almost 100 degrees these days so steel bracelets are too heavy and uncomfortable, switching to leather and rubber!!
