Hey guys I am new to the forum, but I just wanted to show a couple of my watches and see what you thought about them. Most of them are watches that I inherited from my grandfather. The watch that I wear most often is the Maurice Lacroix. Hopefully one day soon I will be able to afford some of the watches in this forum, unfortunately just graduating from college doesnt allow much for high end watches.

After years of collecting, I think I am finally over this sickness.

I have long been a fan of the original 1016 dial explorer, but have come to realize that I can not be happy without a date on the dial. After procuring a number of donor watches to try and put together my dream combination, I have now been sporting this for the last few weeks, and it fits my pencil wrist perfectly:

    Very nice. Details please.

    Very nice. Details please.

Base/donor watch started out life as an Eterna Kontiki 1958. It was the perfect case size for me at 37mm, and had the added bonus of increased water resistance. I had my watchmaker swap in the dial and hands from Bill Yao, and flipped the date wheel to white on black as well. I now have the perfect all purpose sport/dress watch (original Eterna butterfly deployant bracelet is quite formal).

Not a large watch collector but I have a question for the experienced.

The crystal on my Hamilton broke while I was in Paris this past week. The watch is very well-kept and I don't even remember hitting it. Nonetheless, seeing as it out of waranty does anybody have any experience with this kind of repair? Suggestions?
