Thanks, @Cleav. I'm truly gifted at shopping with other people's money. Having said that...I am seriously weighing a very modest addition myself, if I sign my new contract tomorrow...

@RogerP I think the Captain is cool too. This would be my pick of the Omegas, though:

And I really was drawn to this Chronoswiss:

Ooh great news Mimo, tough it out for the best deal with that contract. Good luck! Mezentius, Mimo is the man, they are two great shouts too. I would pick the Chrono ^

Thanks Cleav. But be warned, the tie sits near the top of the SF sh!t list for tie colours:

Last chance to look away....

Like the pocket square and suit combination. Really sharp!

IWC from the Mad Med era (okay, just barely):

Love the IWCs from this period. Very cool case shapes. Is the bracelet original to that watch...if so very nice find. I don't think I've seen one on a mesh bracelet before. The few I've seen are on straps or bracelets with larger links.

Megagoofy 70's Corum. I think I want one

Yes, definitely an odd piece. I saw one in YG many years ago....which looked even worse.

RP and Mimo are horrible horrible enablers. And I absolutely concur with their suggestions.

Ha! I'm with Dino on this one.

What's the time on that Corum? Is it supposed to remind me of a car grill?

Thanks for the comments gents.

Dino, the watch itself is all original (1969), but the bracelet is an aftermarket find. I wore the watch on an assortment of straps, until I saw a similar piece on mesh and loved it. Started hunting for an aftermarket option right then.

I mean if it is this one, it looks very interesting.

Not really, I'm sort of in the school of "if you love it, wear it." But I still reserve the right to critique a watch based on my own tastes ;)

For example, I'm not a big fan of watches that claim a very loose association with a plane/space mission/etc, marketing gimmicks like that irk me. That's not to say you should let that ruin your personal experience, just my preference. That case colour is beautiful though :)
