1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Frilly, I am there once in a while. I may have to it you up, so I can go with a big timer.
Honestly, Steven (sp) is genuinely a great guy.

To get this thread back onto watches...I like this simple piece mentioned a few pages back. Hodinkee seems to mention this brand on their "What's selling where" posts every week so I assume it is at least worth a look in the vintage realm.

Eva just heard she is propossed to be our princess...

And I do support the one who propossed her as TWAT queen but she remembers me of a girl that I used to date and I really liked. She really look a lot like Eva and even has big bewbs too. [IMG]

I do not like the new one. [IMG]

I do like the Protuguese Chrono, eventhough TWAT doesn't approve it.

    Great write up, Mimo!

Actually they are faux blued, but that pic doesn't show it well. Orients are always "off" in some way, which adds to their charm.

My nearest city for nice clothing is Boston, MA. You can get Crocket & Jones, Aldens, on occasion maybe Berluti...but no EG. Louis, used to carry EGs a very long time ago, but they haven't carried it since I was in my 20s back in the 1990s. They also stopped carrying Lobbs about 8+ years ago. I don't think anyone in RI or CT carries EGs, so NYC seems to be my nearest city with EG retailers.

They are owned now by Porsche Design (they bought them and stopped using IWC to have their watches produced). A friend bought his wife an Eterna years ago, and the bezel got damaged, and (I forget the AD he bought it from) the AD informed him parts are very difficult if not impossible to get for older pieces. Not sure if that is just speaking of their women's watches, or if it is anything that is Pre- Porsche Design buy out.

Absolutely love that Patek! The movement is pure artwork!

EG is having their trunk show at Leffot October 29 and 30th.

@no frills I'll be up in your neck of the woods next Friday for the Formosa visit.
