Most recommend 35-40 for a FULL wind, but if you're just winding it, and then putting it on right away to wear for the day, 10 or 15 is plenty. Your wrist motion will slowly wind it the rest of the way throughout the day.

I'll add some new ones later as the watch looks MUCH better on the included bracelet.

In the category that they fall in I've had one from just about every company and you can't go wrong at all with a Panerai

Is part of the reason why some people get these "Lüm-Tec" watches the fact that they look similar to Panerai watches?

Sure, but that's not to say they're not interesting watches in their own right.

Think of how many watches out there look directly similar to a rolex sub and how many pilot watches that are basically exact copies. The Lum-Tecs look similar but you can definitely tell they are a separate watch and not a direct copy. I like watches with great lume and the lum-tec I posted above has better lume WITH a tinted sapphire crystal than the Panerai do with clear crystals.

KBW, you're becoming quite the salesman here (unintentionally, of course)! I'm going order the one I have on hold for me, I just wish shipping to Canada wasn't so expensive!

which one did you put on hold? I was going to order a brushed but I'm waiting for the non chrono autos to come out.

I order a good bit from Europe, the UK, and Asian countries so I know what you mean by expensive foreign shipping.

An M1....polished with regular crystal. When are the others coming out? I might have to hold off...are you talking about the B1?

the b1 is out. I have no clue when the next watches are coming out. I'm not big on pilots watches but this pic (Chris's picture) of it is nice. [IMG]
