I used to have a Grande Date but it didn't feel right on the wrist - the case is too thick IMO, the proportions are not as good as the Grande Taille case.
Almost tasteful, compared to the "˜Squadra':

    It's a hideous monster.

It's the Frankenstein of the Reverso family.

In your Grande Taille pic, is that the original strap, or it is an aftermarket strap? Also, do you ever experiment with different colors?
This pic is rather old. I actually took it off the black (OEM) strap and it has been on a medium brown alligator since then. Havent much experimented as I think it is a perfect complement to the case and dial colors

I agree with that. The Reverso family is going in the wrong direction IMO. I like what JLC is doing with some of the new sport models (e.g. Amvox and Amvox 2), but not with these new Reverso...

I was wearing this humble watch this weekend. It's a Hamilton Khaki Officer LE (handwind). The lack of AR coating sucks but it's a fun watch

Too big. But then I hate today's modern case-size trend.

    Indeed.

    Indeed.
You think the IWC Portuguese Chrono is too big? I'm surprised. I think it's a classic. Face looks large because of the very thin bezel but is really not that big on the wrist (40.5mm?)

Americana with your watch (doesn't have to be an American watch...something I don't think anyone would want) was the theme.

    Umm...why not?????

Have you looked at Roland Murphy's watches (RGM)? There are a few there that are worth a look IMO
