ETA or not, can't really grumble at that price, and I find a lot of RWs designs quite pleasing - including this one. I used to have a quartz Tango that I bought years ago, and although I passed it on a while back, I always liked the look of it.

Maybe this is heresy, but I don't see anything wrong about buying an ETA-powered watch in the hundreds of dollars if the aesthetic is appealing to you. It's the designer stuff that costs thousands but still has the same, or a barely-modifed, movement, that seems dishonest and bad value to me.

Someone mentioned the idea of a sensible casual watch. Here's the casual watch equivalent of sensible shoes:

People seem to knock Sellita because the company is Chinese owned. I think the reality is the regardless of management style they're going to be pulled into making quality ebauches by market demand as ETA continues to withdraw product. Sellita should consider making a copy of the Lemania 5100, as Sinn and Tutima have been excreting bricks adapting the 7750 to the center minute chrono format and apparently they're having trouble meeting demand. Right now the only other center minute chrono movement available (apart from the 5 and 6 figure specials is a quartz I think.

IWC and Sinn are starting to use Sellita movements. That's allowed Sinn to make this one and sell it for a little over a grand. It's a nice looking piece, no other plain pilot watches available with a countdown bezel I know of.

Stowa has a new one witha countdown bezel as part of the TESTAF program. I am a big fan of the overall look of the 104.

I fear that this is a slippery slope. I am already saving for a moon phase and I think the Due Ore is the best GMT design I have seen, so that may be my third.

I need a NATO strap for a sport Omega, could someone point me in the right direction. There are a ton of cheap imitations lurking around, where do you go for the good stuff? Many thanks, R.

Are there guys who buy multiple versions of the same OuJ watches, but in different color schemes? I could see having a really colorful one and a balckout version, for example. The problem is that for watches like the annual calander and moonphase, you have to keep ot wound all the time or it is a PITA.
