Very nice gift Sammy! Love the design of the Explorer.
Very nice! I've always liked this model.
nice.... i am looking at the SAME exact watch for as a birthday present to myself later this summer. I especially like the rehaut version.
Really like this watch.
Anyone know anything about these?
thanks! its up for sale.
Very nice....Are you the same Sammy that runs Ascot Shoes?
The only place I found info was on watchbuys - http://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/Thomas-Ninchritz-Watches-From-WatchBuys-d67.htm
Stitchy this Cartier is interesting for me - even though the Roman numerals bump into each other from VII through IX. That aesthetic is usually a minus for me from the get go, but somehow it works for this one. I wonder why.
Approximately how large is the case for this one?
i agree. somehow the oversized RNs just work.
it measures 42mm. nice size.
Sorry, late for the game, but no it doesn't work. I find it cheapens the appearance of a great watch. Also, I don't care for mixing a beautiful vintage re-issue with what to me is just fancy plastic. Others have given you some great ideas for alternatives that I would probably choose. Interestingly, I kind of liked the steel mesh, but I'd probably go with a simple black calf. I find the croc straps a bit too dressy or fussy for that watch.
No need to apologize. I was merely letting you know that we have talked about the size of the watch vs. size and style of person wearing it etc.
Not sure what the issue is with Frill's taste in women. I like Kate Upton....so you lost me with that part of your comment.
Wishing you lots of luck studying for the bar!
There is definitely a bling factor with a gold Daytona! I have one that belonged to my Dad. I don't wear it often, but every now and then gets some wrist time.
Happy Birthday and Congrats!
+1. Patek doesn't make a rugged sports watch, and that's fine with me. To many brands try to be everything to everyone, and they lose sight of their heritage, their niche, and their loyal customer base, all in the name of branching out to untapped markets. Kiton and Brioni make beautiful suits, but I don't need them to start making ice cream, and I am not interested in suits made by Trojans.
I'm a big fan of Cartier products, but for some reason the BB has never appealed to me. I find the design almost too soft/fluid, and maybe prefer it on a woman. Also, that date window and crown annoy me to no end. Still hope you have fun with it and that it sells fast.
Congrats on your Stowa! Hope you get many years of enjoyment from it.
dino - i hope it sells fast too.
also, that all gold daytona looks perfect with that shirt and cufflinks.
I may have a new "grail" watch:
Made in America, engine turned dial, moonphase, hand worked movement.
RGM caliber 20.
i have always wanted an RGM.
Re all gold pieces. I only have one gold watch on a bracelet, and it can be a bit much. I've lusted after an all gold Daytona, but on my hand it just wasn't right. I prefer the more rugged look of my transitional Sub in gold, somehow the black bezel rights what is wrong with all that yellow gold
Wearing a gold bracelet with a suit (or even a dressy shirt) also seems off to me. I prefer it with very casual wear and settings. Like lounging around in my favourite old sweats
