Yep - I'm far entrenched in the dislike camp but they have evidently been highly successful with BR-01 and BR-03. Clearly unique designs but too gimmicky for me.

I do like the simple BR-02 design though. Goes back to the early years of B&R and the traditional Sinn military designs they were remarketing (Space One and Two...)

oh yeah, those B&R divers are nice, probably my favorite from that company since they stopped getting from Sinn.

What do you guys think of this combo?

I'm thinking that it will only look better when the strap gets worn, abused, & spilt on!

    Especially in summer.

FYI - the strap is made of a nylon sail-like cloth with a water-proof soft leather backing.

I'm liking the cloth one a lot for the casual/coast side look - it should look even better with wear and "discoloration".

On a side note, how do you change the straps on this watch?

    Thanks! A really interesting watch!

On a side note, what do you do with your self-winding watches that you do not wear less than every other day? - Just wind/reset them when you need them, or wind/shake them every day?

    Nevermind...Found the answer...

Guido that combo is pretty cool. Fits your style. I couldn't sport that watch as it way too big for me, but I do like the design. Funny, when I was looking for a watch and mentioned that brand NO ONE commented on it. I hadn't heard anything about B&R except that some movie stars where it, but that's about it.

Probably because there's already a long thread on the brand:

There should be a few other mentions of it as well, if you care to do a search. [IMG]

I merely mentioned it in a list of watch companies I knew nothing about when asking for a reccomendation. Ater reading various threads, it seems this forum is not too favorable of B&R.

People who disliked these watches previously are now suddenly interested in them. Perhaps another case of the Guido effect?

I'm certainly not immune [IMG] .

I like the looks of the watch and band. It makes it a little more casual, less serious looking and that can be nice for a change. After all you can always go back to the big, black rubber band anytime.

I wanted to; but, I already have a haircut appointment at 6 and if I cancel that I won't have the chance to get one for another 3 weeks and I'm about a month overdue. [IMG]
