That looks fantastic, Mr. Moo
Another shot of my Speedy
Alas, the VIP treatment for my old Omega is simply because the local AD doesnt' know how to do anything. It's going to cost me $120 just to pay the shipping and get a quote for the repair! In the mean time, my $30 Sekonda is deputising. Unless I also clean up the Saddam Hussein Rodania quartz....
If there's anyone around here who'd fly to Basel to buy something insane, I think we both know who's in the frame around here, eh Frilly? The guy who doesn't know the meaning of "endgame", eh, Frilly? Know who I mean? Hmm?
OK, now you've piqued my interest. I demand photos.
Well it's crazy for you Europeans, but sometimes it can actually make sense for people who get 20-30% VAT refunds traveling out of Europe!
Mimo - I'm not sure if you reside on this side of the pond, but if you do, hit me up next time for a reference to a Canadian Omega specialist. He's taken care of a number of my vintage pieces and absent the catastrophic, your total repair would likely cost less than what you will be shelling out for shipping and a quote.
Well hopefully it comes back working better
Thanks for the kudos, guys.
I should mention that the strap is really comfortable, and made my watch (which already felt great on the wrist due to the Omega bracelet) feel almost like I wasn't even wearing it. I did not think the Omega bracelet weighed as much as it did. If you want an unlined shell cordovan strap, it's hard to beat one of the US retailers offering them (Leffot, LS, etc.)
Great stuff today gents. I guess Ill enjoy it for as long as i can until Foo comes and fucks it up .
