1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

yeah me too... but as a gift, hey I'm not complaining. "Neat" is good right?

I did see one at the duty free shop at LAX.... if by graphite you mean more grey-ish then IIRC it is more "true black"

A lot of posts to catch up on since last week; I'll do that later!

In the mean time, thank you all so much for your kind comments on this. I thought I'd drop by quickly with a simple wrist shot. My son is delighted with his new watch, and it looks great on him! Here it is, along with the watch my father gave me:

Not a fan, seems kinda pedestrian and I don't think the colour scheme is very successful. Since it has to be a Rado, why not go all-in?

I have no idea when I would wear something like that, but I think it's more interesting and better realised.

Not to revisit a topic that fellow TWAT-ters would rather leave behind, but what G-Shock is this lovely young woman wearing?

In other news, G-shock is coming out with some metallic variants:

Personally, I like the simple, cheaper square ones but that is just me. Still undecided as to whether I will actually pull the trigger...[IMG]

What is the case/bracelet. Is it treated steel? Its nice but not very distinctive. I'd rather see you get something that is totally different from anything you have, and which is something you will only see from Rado. I really like Kaplan's suggestion.
Great photo and great choice for your son's first mechanical watch! Well done Mimo.

The best part about this thread was the full frontal of Kate Upton wearing that perp cal minute repeater. And it's just a few pages back ...

    thanks Kaplan... great suggestion.

It is the newest version of their high-tech ceramic... supposedly it is almost indestructible. I hear where you guys are coming from and that model is much more distinctive and completely different from anything else I own. I've just started this search so thank you all for your thoughts and opinions. :nodding:

and I missed this one earlier... wow.

The Cosmopolite is beautiful as a piece of art, but my goodness is it large! I just think that 48mm is unwearable for me. I think it would have been nice if they had foregone the tourby.

^ I didn't realize it's that big! No way I could pull that off. Seems it would be much more practical without the tourby... agreed.
