baume & mercier classima executives 8591

i really like the watch and get plenty of compliments in person
but i feel like i overpaid for it
seems like baume & mercier does not carry the same weight as many other watchmakers

B&M is under rated. Love that watch. Would love to own one.

To no frills- love those watches. Congratulations, you have earned them. Enjoy them and let your kids enjoy them one day too!

    Gorgeous.

The level of detail on the dial is amazing.

Everybody has an opinion, but it's your watch so yours is the only one that really matters. It sounds like you like it, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. I think it looks like a very nice watch.

Who cares how much weight a brand carries. As long as you appreciate it and enjoy wearing the piece it doesn't matter what the name on the face is. Its a beautiful piece! wear it in good health!

As previously mentioned, I think it's a great watch.

It has never given me any problems, with wearability, sweat, or anything.
If I swim in it, I just take the strap off the watch that evening to dry flat. Even though I'm sure it would make no difference.

Wow, thats a very young crowd to have knowledge of the brand. In recent years they have tried to offer more that will appeal to a younger generation, but I think AP has been more successful at doing that.
I really like the recent version of the Ingenieur. Its a versatile design that will look great with casual clothes but will work well with a suit too. Good luck!

Thanks dddrees. Here is a quick wrist shot that really shows the layers or appearance of depth created by the stepped lugs, raised & angled bezel, and then the dial with sunken subdial.

The view from the back isn't too bad either [IMG]. The movement is based on a JLC Reverso movement.

Its a very classic, handsome watch.

Are you saying you feel like you over paid for it, because you think "It does not carry the same weight as many other watchmakers? If you enjoy a watch thats what matters. Even if hypothecially you bought a watch from brand that you feel is the top of the line, there will always be models even within that brand, which are more complicated, more exclusive, and considered more special. If a watch suits your needs and serves you well, that is what is important.
