Ahh gotcha thanks i was a bit confused about that but you cleared it up
Interesting that your brought up the whole Europe thing because off my friends/people I've met while living in NYC the only ones who have heard of VC had been Europeans. And surprisingly they were young around 21-25ish
Well, it took me over 2 months but I have finally read the whole thread! I would just like to say congratulations and thank you on a great read that has taken me from an admirer of watches to a full on WIS! I have decided to purchase my first "proper" watch and have selected the IWC Ingenieur 3227-01 for its classic looks, Genta heritage, in-house movement, and versatility, as well as it's limited production run. I am currently in talks with a dealer over purchasing a mint example. Thoughts would be greatly appreciated. My criteria is that it is a stainless steel sports/tool watch that I can wear often and in different situations e.g. to a meeting as well as in a T and jeans.
Just saw this on TPP... My goodness gracious... The "Kari Voutilainen Masterpiece Chronograph II"
Supposedly 10 were made, and it was close to 3 years in production. Insane. Large Date and Moonphase display, and instantaneous jumping minute and date.
Spectacular for an indy.
Wearing this a lot lately.
I see why! Looks terrific.
my daily watch
baume & mercier classima executives 8591
i really like the watch and get plenty of compliments in person
but i feel like i overpaid for it
seems like baume & mercier does not carry the same weight as many other watchmakers
B&M is under rated. Love that watch. Would love to own one.
To no frills- love those watches. Congratulations, you have earned them. Enjoy them and let your kids enjoy them one day too!
The level of detail on the dial is amazing.
Everybody has an opinion, but it's your watch so yours is the only one that really matters. It sounds like you like it, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about. I think it looks like a very nice watch.
Who cares how much weight a brand carries. As long as you appreciate it and enjoy wearing the piece it doesn't matter what the name on the face is. Its a beautiful piece! wear it in good health!
As previously mentioned, I think it's a great watch.
very nice indy, and pretty cool over all. hate to sound like a snob, but i dont love the any of the fonts or the hands. the back and the movement are fantastic.
this. i think its a pretty watch as well. i love my B&M.
It has never given me any problems, with wearability, sweat, or anything.
If I swim in it, I just take the strap off the watch that evening to dry flat. Even though I'm sure it would make no difference.
