Can you base that on something? While it may be fake, why don't you substantiate it instead of making accusations?

What, besides the ill-fitting quartz movement and completely incorrect subdials? It's obviously fake just from looking at it, and I don't even pay attention to Hublot.

That is clearly a fake watch with a quartz movement. The chrono subdials are too close just like quartz and unlike ETA7750 that the watch is based on. There are other issues with the subdials and the watch in general.

^^ Thank you. I've no means of verifying, but at least you've stated your case which should have happened from the start.

Ah, my faulty assumption — I figured it was so evidently fake that it was one of those prima facie-type deals, just like the Submariner posted earlier.

highendstyle, in stitches, rnguy001, Badandy, Dino944 - thanks for the kind comments

I was looking a little while ago and found that authorized dealers in Germany/Austria (not Nomos direct) had the best prices

can you link the pic? im fairly well versed in spotting them.

*edit* nevermind...found the pic...ill do a quick rundown

the rehaut is so thin its almost invisible. Much thicker on the gen.
font on the date is WAY off
crown/lugs are a bit mis shapen
crown isnt nearly as sharp as gen
the engraving on the buckle is wrong. when you look at the gen buckle its much darker.
see how the "10" on the bezel is chipped off? ceramic doesnt chip.
    bezel divots are too rounded
case is stamped 18K. on a stainless steel watch.
    pearl is mis shapen.
back case ridges are far too rounded. should be VERY sharp and clean.

these are just a few things that stand out. If i could actually hold it, i could name a dozen more.

I know next to nothing about watches, and I know there are serious collectors out there, but given some of the unbelievable candy this thread produces, I just assumed fake submissions occurred regularly... Should have known better, I suppose.

hey man, not saying you intentionally bought a fake. but you were ripped off if someone sold that sub as legit. Id contact the seller and get your money back. If you doubt me, take it to any AD and have them check it out. id be willing to bet anything i own on my assessment.
