1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    I take it that's a rhetorical question?!

My dear Stitchy, how thoughtful of you. But I'm sorry to say I don't like it. At least, I don't love it. A friend of mine has just this watch, and frankly I think it looks effeminate on him. When I said I wanted a Rolex with a deep blue dial, I mean more like this:

See, there's blue and there's blue. Like this. Which I suppose is aiming a bit high next to the Day-Date. But I even like this. Or, at the risk of losing and and all credibility, this.

And if you're still reading, then I'm thinking an extravagant Gollum-version of you would be unable to resist this. So have it from me!

I don't generally like pale blue dials, but I must say that (platinum? white gold?) Rolex definitely does it for me.

One of my fave blue-dial watches of all time (and easily one of my best photos):

Datejusts with Roman numerals look extremely crowded to me. Not a fan. Good trade Stitchy.

That's more like it. I prefer the baton markers too, especially on this size. Yeah, OK then, I'll take this one. :)

    It's a custom, one-of-a-kind piece ordered by Psy. (http://www.ablogtowatch.com/franck-...uller-custom-oppa-gangnam-style-watch-for-psy)

I don't fault FM for making a buck.... now, what kind of self-aggrandizing asshole would spend over $100k (assuming) on a bejeweled watch with their own likeness on it...
Let me just say I wish I could afford the ChicagoRon custom series :foo:

:deadhorse: this has been said too many times before  i have a soft spot for the all gold daydates. i had one years ago briefly. If i were to buy one again, id choose a white enamel dial. but i still love almost all versions of the daydate as long as theres no diamonds.

I did a search, but came up empty. Can anyone suggest reputable dealers in the US for used watches? More specifically, I will be in Los Angeles the end of May and would love to do some in person shopping if I can get some recommendations.
