those Hirschs are indeed nice, at least from the photos. same ballpark as ABP (marginally cheaper), who i'm quite happy with. i was also thinking that i could just save myself the wait and pick up an OEM from an AD, but OEM croc is $400+ now?!?!

I am not overly surprised. It seems about that way for damn near everything. Omega Croc and Deployant was almost $500 I think (because I thought about tossing it in). I find that absolutely absurd. I cannot even fathom the mark-up.

And I have only heard good things about the Hirsch's, especially the contrast stitching ones.

I think Di-Modell is slightly better than Hirsh - the croc ages a more nicely.

I got an ABP shark strap for my 111 but didn't like it. The edge finishing was pretty amateurish.

These kind of threads bring the viewer a lot of close-ups of hairy arms.

If you were admiring the hairy arms instead of the watches, I have news for you...

Just curious, how is the case different? I haven't compared them side by side, but I was under the impression the current Sub C and GMT II use the same case. I know the case is different on the current Explorer II as the lugs are a bit more tapered than on the Sub C or GMT ,and the case is larger.
Great choice. The RO is one of my all time favorite watches. It puts a smile on my face everytime I see it on my wrist.
Hope you are really enjoying your beautiful RO Chrono.
