Re: Nomos - I fell in love with the Ahoi Atlantik when it was first introduced (back in '15?) and bought it without trying it on first. It arrived and even though it was gorgeous and I liked the aesthetic, it just left me cold (a common complaint with their designs) and thanks to the lug shape/placement and the huge watchface:bezel ratio it just did not wear well on me so I ended up selling it.

When they released the Minimatik and some of the Club designs with smaller cases and more curved lugs, I thought I'd give them another try but wanted to wait until I could see them in person somewhere before making a hasty decision. This summer a local store became an AD for them and I finally got to try on a few. This time I fell in love with the California-dial Club Campus Nacht and snatched it up. This one fits soooo much better than my Ahoi did and never leaves me feeling cold. As superficial as it is, I think a lot of that comes down to the font Nomos used on this one compared to the Ahoi.

I’ve got my Nomos on my wrist today.

This is great! Is it the SBGW001? How do you like it?

I just picked up the YG version, the SBGW008.

SBGW031 actually (display caseback, not applied 'Grand Seiko'). I like it a lot but it gets hardly any wrist time. It feels like the purest distillation of a watch made to an exceptionally high standard for the price but it can sometimes be boring.

Grabbed a pretty neat JLC Master Ultra Thin but have to wait a while to pick it up. Sucks -_-
You're gonna like it a lot. Beautiful watch.

Rarely see JLC much in the wild here in Vancouver. My Master Control Hometime. View attachment 1289616
Your watch is one of my favorite pieces from the Master series. The case is just the right size so it can be dressed up or dressed down depending on the strap and one's mood. My father has its sibling ...the Master Antoinne 8 day. I love the sunburst finish on the movement.
