It is.is that a Speedmaster?
I like it exactly because it is goofy. I wouldn't want it as an every day watch, and I suspect the white indices on bright green are really hard to see in most situations, but it's silly and makes me smile. And it's surprisingly understated for a cartoon character themed watch.the goofy green Kermit watch
That smaller case size really accentuates the vintage vibe for a watch like that, and it is timed perfectly with case sizes generally getting smaller currently (other than that Oris). It's not for me, but I suspect it will be another home run for Tudor in a year where the Pelagos 39 would be selling like hotcakes if it were actually at AD's in sufficient quantities. The BB54 is really interesting, maybe because at 37mm it looks less like a second class Submariner and has more character.
So Cartier makes you “upgrade” to a precious metal for all special orders.
I was originally thinking white gold for the santos, but really thinking about rose gold. Only thing, is I think it will look way worse than white gold with wear?
Plan is cream dial, guilloched, with heat blued Breguet style hands and blued Breguet numerals on 12, 3, 6 and 9.
Why do you think rose gold will look way worse than white gold with wear?
Overall, an interesting special order configuration, although I'm not really a huge fan of cream dials, especially with white gold. IMHO it would probably look better with rose gold (below is a previous generation Santo-Dumont in rose gold with cream dial and chocolate numerals).
I think gold or rose gold would look great with a chocolate brown or black dial. Cartier makes that dark dial, but I don’t think it’s the right tone of black. Why do you think rose gold will look way worse than white gold with wear?
