Well, now you are just getting into subjective taste. I often agree with your taste , but here you're either drunk, wrong, or both. I really like the old Daniel Roth watch cases. As I've said before, no watch can be everything to everyone.

Not drunk, certainly it's just my taste, and taste is notoriously subjective.

Also gorgeous in full gold.

I think that the simpler the watch, the better it looks in full gold.

spectacular! Sometimes I wonder if Rolex peaked with the Kermit. These five digit models are just too good. As for me, I’d be happy with the current rose gold GMT or the rose gold Daytona with chocolate dial and Arabic numerals from a few years ago, but otherwise i don’t understand the love for modern Rolex.

I suppose the same can be said for most brands. There are one or two current models per brand that may have lasting appeal, but it’s mostly junk otherwise.

Like with most famous clothing brands, only a couple of basics have lasting appeal.

It’s funny, but for me, having owned an OF for several years, I think it already looks dated. This wrist shot falls flat compared to the recent Tudor shots you posted. Perhaps it is because Bulgari pumped out a hundred or so variations already. Maybe I need to go back and strap one on again and I’ll be smitten like I originally was.

I would agree. I think Rolex was at its peak with them in terms of design, and wearability and they still were more like tool watches back then.

I probably would choose any five-digit model versus new editions.
