I’m thinking of trading in my full gold sub for the two-tone sub. Tired of looking too lit in the full gold version. I’m already beautiful enough. Don’t need the extra attention.
The obvious solution here is the Platinum Day Date or Daytona. As an added benefit, they have that great blue dial that makes reminds me of the Grand Seiko dials.

@chocomallo, i guess this Cartier picture is ancient. But what about the VC ? I was already surprised you bought the PP, as apparently you stuck to one watch for a while, the R. that comes from your dad...

I bought that Tank few years ago. Wore it daily for about a year and a half. It was a magnificent watch thanks to that bracelet.

I just got tired of the hobby last year and decided to sell everything except my old man’s watch. Sentimental value.

But the 5205 struck my fancy. And now I am back to two. I will probably wear them equally.

A big part of why I don’t want to own a dozen watches is the service costs. Owning a dozen watches guarantees thousands of dollars a year on average in service costs alone and it take forever to get your watch back. It all seems dumb to me. Plus it is crazy to buy a watch for 3-5k but service is 1-2k. Might as well toss it in the trash and buy another.

I do understand ! I didn’t bring my Piaget to service for a very long time (still works perfectly though) and I don’t know what to do with the VC that comes from my Granddad (or maybe is father). If I bring it to service at VC (and there are quite a lot of things to repair on it), it will probably cost me the price of the sport watch I intend to buy one day or another…

With sly hand I pass,
One thing for another's grace,
Sharp eyes catch my ruse.

Which two tone Sub? What's your other full gold piece?
