Please don't forget to tell us when you win that auction so we can congratulate you and rejoice in your win and an amazing new (to you) watch!

As things stand though, the number of bids has not changed since yesterday? You biding your time? Waiting for the 11th hour? I mean for the last 15 seconds? Smart! Good luck with bidding.
Not really a show and tell person.

In the same spirit, the new Minase:

Almost wearable and practical.

Such harsh conditions: the fillet is not even cooked fresh like on Turkish, so you need the morel sauce to make it palatable!
Unforgivable.

Flew Turkish Airlines connecting through Munich to Istanbul for my honeymoon. What a great flying experience.

Both Turkish and Emirates are a bit crap out of here since flying 777s in 2-3-2 configuration. Whereas if, thanks to their last minute plane swapping habit since the A350 debacle, you end up on a 777 with Qatar it'll have QSuites. No brainer... but yeah, I would prefer Turkish if the route made sense. Still haven't seen the new airport and especially the giant lounge.

You’ve traveled across multiple countries in far-off continents? Please surrender your F.A.R.T. badge at my desk. Good luck to you and the rest of your soft iron cased patrician equals. May your rot in Breguet Arabic numerals.

I think it was mak1277 that posted his less common AP chrono the other day. Here is one I haven't seen before. Price seems reasonable, but I am always skeptical of shop-serviced watches, especially on higher end pieces.

Plebby question but best starter watch for an 18-year-old headed off to college? Under, say, $3K? Mechanical only.

As you are well aware, any watch that can simply be “purchased” by walking into an AD without first spending hundreds of thousands on jewelery is not worth buying.

This is a also question best answered by a FART Board Member but if it were me (sad and lowly owner of both brands), I’d recommend a diver by Tudor or Omega. Both can handle the daily activities of a freshman (keg stand, shotgun?). The 41mm Black Bay or recent gem Seamaster can surely be found in that range.
