Journe is the new Patek.
Journe is not the new Patek. It may be the resale and auction darling of the moment - and creative powerhouse - but until time-tested movements hit the market place it will be -and i fear, remain- somewhat of a joke. Journe as a firm now, and has had for a while, the financial clout to hold back on immature releases. Yet, it consistently pushes out problematic movements.
I have had 2 Journe’s in service longer than on my wrist until recently. The third was a miraculous wrist success.

I don’t mean to discouraging and I am huge Journe Fanboy (first Journe in 2001) but with the recent capital influx and the consistent/projected income of the firm, as a duty to customers, it is time for a measured approach to new releases. I say this more forcefully as the man himself is not immortal, his successors may not be so accommodating at the service-end (and certainly not as knowledgeable), no amount of capital can replace such a visionary.

Anyone else read the Bloomberg article blaming "the Reddit crowd" for the Patek, Rolex, etc. shortage?

Well, all the seasonal movies tell me to believe, so I guess I have to.

Although, that looks like a pretty big box.

Yeah I don’t know what’s up with that. It’s probably the box for the box.
