Yeah, if you don't like the cushion shaped case, you aren't going to love a Doxa. Its actually, one of the most interesting parts of that watch. I like a cushion shaped case, but most are too large or bulky for my wrist.
I’m in the camp that is intrigued by the history of Doxa but don’t like the huge cushion case. I noticed recently a series of Doxa Sun 200 watches in their traditional bright colours but looking more like ‘standard’ (sub-style) dive watches that might be of interest. They don’t have that dual bezel depth gauge thingy that the old ones have they were just standard 60 minute timing bezels.

Were you on holiday here in FL or do you live here?

The Governor is a bloody imbecile (anti mask lunatic) and he’s a likely candidate for presidency so watch out America.
I still think SF should have an election. To field a candidate for president.

I have a short list.

I thought since there have been regular debates on the tudor vs rolex subjuect that this recent video might be of interest (I own both watches, so I have no axe to grind here....just thought this was an interesting take):

Got COVID while on vacation (thanks, Florida). First time I’ve been out of bed in a week.

Glad you are convalescing. First time out of bed in a week is an inflection point.

Thank you for your (involuntary) contribution to herd immunity.

One of the silver linings of forced bed rest for me is that it allows me more time to admire the watch that I am wearing. So you have a lot to admire.

I am a side sleeper; the first thing I see in the morning is my watch bracelet, 10" away from my face. It is a nice start to the day.

I was on vacation. Got it on my last day.
Oof that’s a tough break. Hope you’re on the mend.
I saw a version of your IWC 40 when I was in Mayors in Tampa recently. Either the one I saw is a different colour or you have a knack for photography but the blue version I saw wasn’t nearly as bright and attractive as yours seems to be when you post pics on here!

Thanks, man. I’m slowly feeling better. Honestly, that watch pops OUTDOORS. Indoors, the blue is much more muted.

Ah maybe that’s what it is.
I also have a jones for the blue VC overseas and was disappointed when I saw that IRL too but you may be right, maybe the indoor muted light of the watch boutiques don’t do ‘em justice.

You know what you have to do to celebrate your recovery.

(No seriously, hope you feel better soon.)
