Exp II is pretty much the only Rolex I think looks good on NATO, but boy it does look great on them.
I don't care to start a fight or a serious debate but I am NOT a Rolex fan generally speaking. For one thing I do not like metal bracelets. For me to say a Rolex looks good happens once in a blue moon ... and it's ALWAYS an all steel case. That was my one Rolex compliment of the year. ;-)

But each to his/her own. If ya like it ... ya like it.

I really like that bezel. Was that done custom?

Thanks man. It’s actually a standard / OEM bezel for this particular model, which is the “Broad Arrow” 3594.50 from quite a few years ago.

I’m convinced there really is a Speedmaster for everybody ... although I say it somewhat tongue in cheek (see signature). ?

Too kind...it really is a strap monster, as they say.

Seiko crazy error. Famous Japanese QC? Thankfully they made only 300 of these watches.
Otherwise interesting watch made of proprietary Ti. alloy with useful GMT function and enameled (Urushi) dial.

The original was a textured calf strap? I agree that a semi glossy exotic is better for this watch. Is this the large, so middle of the three sizes?

For me it truly depends on the watch. The cyclops doesn't bother me, and my favorite date placement is 3 o'clock. I feel like most big date watches just jumped on the trend and I don't generally want a huge prominent date in odd places on the dial.

I've heard some think of the cyclops as a feature signifying the watch is a Rolex. Maybe kind of like the helium valve on an Omega Seamaster. Features that look odd and unsymmetrical to some, but not bother others and might be considered a model or brand identifier.

A date magnifier reminds me thick coke bottle glasses.

Seems like a lot of people are dogmatic about it, especially as it relates to the Submariner-- and I can kind of relate, on the grounds of symmetry and all. I'm not necessarily anti-cyclops, but both of my sports models are without.
