Following up on the polishing discussion:
Chronographs are fun. (I have five.) It's the only complication other than the prohibitively expensive minute repeater that allows the wearer to interact actively with the watch.
A manually rotating bezel is pretty low tech and less interesting vs a chrono. My attention deficit disorder needs more stimulation than a rotating bezel.What about a divers rotating bezel as fun interaction (if not exactly a complication)?
What about a beautiful moon phase? There’s interaction there, albeit minimal, and a pretty moon phase disk is a guilty pleasure of many a collector.Chronographs are fun. (I have five.) It has a "Pirate" vibe.
